Marché Provençal

Under a 1900 iron-and-glass roof on Cours Masséna, Antibes's morning market has run continuously since the 14th century. Fruit, fish, charcuterie, oils, soap, the salted-anchovy stall that hasn't changed in three generations. Sit at the bar at one of the wine counters when the stalls close at 13:00.

Tuesday and Thursday mornings have the freshest fish — the boats land before seven.
