Grande Corniche — Èze to La Turbie

Twelve kilometres from Èze village to the Trophée d'Auguste in La Turbie. Built by Napoleon, mostly unchanged since. Three or four laybys hold the views that postcards approximate; the Roman trophy at the end is worth thirty quiet minutes.

Drive west to east in the morning, east to west at sunset — the sun stays at your back both ways.
