Bounded by rue d'Antibes, rue Macé, the Croisette and rue des Belges — the historic Carré d'Or is Cannes' jewellery quarter (Cartier, Van Cleef, Chopard, the local jewelry houses) plus the small-room chic restaurants that anchor pre-Croisette evenings.

Walk it clockwise from Cartier — the jewellers face north and the windows light better.
