Château-Musée Grimaldi

The castle the Grimaldis built in 1309 and later softened into a Renaissance residence now holds the village museums — the olive tree, the Suzy Solidor portraits, a trompe-l'oeil ceiling. But the reason to climb is the terrace: from the ramparts the coast unrolls from Cap d'Antibes to Cap Ferrat, the sea doing the talking.

Late afternoon — the courtyard cools and the western light flatters the whole bay.
